Higgins: You mentioned that you've been married multiple times. Do you think that your experiences in Vietnam had an effect on those marriages?
Magnusen: I'm positive. It gave me a different person maybe hard to live with. I was angry I must have done some crazy as things. I remember one time driving down a road in my sports car, and the road went from two lanes to one lane because there was a bridge up ahead. This one guy in the slower lane was going to try and pass me up and get ahead of me. My anger got there, and I said, no you're not. I said, anyway I get ahead of him. I'm so pissed at this guy that when we get to the top of the bridge; we're on the bridge, I start to slow down making sure that he gets on my ass and gets right next to my back bumper. Then finally, I stop the car he's got nowhere to go. I stop the car, I get out, I go back. I pull the keys out of his ignition. I get ready to throw [01:18:00] him into the freeway, and I just stop I just row him on the ground and leave. But anger, I still have a lot of anger today. I have so much anger towards the government towards wars.
Higgins: It's understandable anger.
Magnusen: I don't think that ever goes away.
